Participating Organizations

The program consists of several participating organizations. The names of the organizations and their respective roles in the program are briefly described below.

Ethiopian Ministry of Education

The Ethiopian Ministry of Education oversees the collaboration of local universities with Texas Tech University and facilitates the establishment of the postgraduate programs.  

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)

GIZ is a German-based company which funded the program.

Biritish Council

The British Council is United Kingdom's international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities. The British Council manages the overall establishment of the postgraduate programs according to the proposed schedule.

Texas Tech University (TTU)

Texas Tech University is a service provider university. An interdisciplinary team from Texas Tech University is responsible for the establishment of the postgraduate programs in Ethiopian partner universities.

Jimma Institute of Technology (JiT)

JiT is one of the local partner institutions which is located in South-Western part of Ethiopia. 

Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building and Construction (EiABC)

EiABC is one of the local partner institutions under Addis Ababa University and it is located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

Dire Dawa Institute of Technology (DDiT)

DDiT is one of the local partner institutions from the eastern part of the country. 

Arba Minch Institute of Technology (AMiT)

AMiT is one of the local partner institutions located in South-Western part of Ethiopia. It offers a number of undergraduate engineering disciplines.
